Traditional Use
Clary Sage was highly regarded in the Middle Ages. It was referred to as 'Oculus Christi', the 'Eye of Christ'. In Latin, salvia, means 'healing' or 'healthy' and scale is derived from Calais, meaning 'clear'. The mucilage obtained from the seeds was used to remove particles from the eyes. Clary Sage has been used to make wines and beers in Europe for many centuries. It is said to intoxicate and give a feeling of euphoria and considered inappropriate to use near 'delicate' people.

Opens the doors to creativity, intuition and inspiration. Gives a sense of balance and grounding to dreamers and scattered thinkers. Stimulates an air of freedom and euphoria so as not to take everything seriously.

Therapeutic
Helps to provide stamina and endurance. Add 6 drops to a vapouriser.

For temporary relief of nausea. Add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and massage clockwise into stomach area. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.

To help relieve stress, mild anxiety, insomnia and nervous tension. Add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and massage pressure points.

Caution
Avoid in cases of pregnancy and epilepsy.
